Pilonidal cyst

Pilonidal cyst: A special kind of abscess that occurs in the cleft between the buttocks. Forms frequently in adolescence after long trips that involve sitting. The word "pilonidal" is derived from the Latin words pilus (meaning hair) and nidus (meaning nest).
