Myeloperoxidase deficiency

Myeloperoxidase deficiency: Deficiency of the enzyme myeloperoxidase which may predispose to severe fungal infections. The enzyme is critical to the oxygen-dependent killing of bacteria by leukocytes (white blood cells).
